Dr. Devorah Shagalov is one of the few double board-certified dermatologists and Mohs surgeons in Miami, FL who is fellowship trained in both Mohs micrographic surgery and in Cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Shagalov is highly regarded as a skin cancer expert and is widely sought out because of her excellent surgical outcomes. She is also known for her keen aesthetic eye, attention to detail and natural results. Her expertise includes general dermatology, minimally-invasive cosmetic surgery, soft-tissue augmentation, neurotoxins, laser surgery, Mohs surgery and complex cosmetic reconstructions.

Education and training

Dr. Shagalov graduated summa cum laude from Touro College and received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, graduating number one in her class.  She also received numerous other awards in various areas including basic science, biochemistry, immunology, microbiology and clinical dermatology. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Following this she relocated to Florida to pursue a dual fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology at the Skin Institute of South Florida and Hollywood Dermatology.
